Real Madrid travel to Granada in La Liga on Saturday and manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Gareth Bale will not play due to his on going hamstring injury.

The former Spurs player hasn't featured for Real since October 5th in their 5-0 win over Atheltic Bilbao.

Real go into this game just a point off Barcelona following their 3-1 win in The Clasico last weekend.

A win for the team from the capital would move them above the Catalan club two hours before they entertain Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou.

Ancelotti has a couple of injury concerns other than that of the Welshman, Bale.

Luka Modric and Pepe are doubts for the game and we're going to be given until the final training session on Friday before the team flies to Andalucia.

Granada themselves are struggling after a promising start and are without a win in five games.

Yet Ancelotti pin points their defensive unit as a something his side will do well to overcome....

SOUNDBITE: (English) Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid head coach:

"Every time we expected to score goals in a game but I don't know what's going to happen in the next game. We know really well we have to play against a tough team, they defend really well. That's it. It's true that last game was good for us because we scored a lot of goals but every other game is history now".
