SOUNDBITE: Colin Pascoe (English) Liverpool assistant manager (on the form of controversial striker Mario Balotelli):
Q: What effect (newspaper headlines) does that have on the player himself?

"Nothing really. Like we've said, he works hard. He's a massive talent. Every day on the training pitch you can see that he wants to do more -- even right at the end. He's always asking to do more things. Everything will be all right with Mario. You know his hunger's there -- and he wants to win."

SOUNDBITE: Colin Pascoe (English) Liverpool assistant manager
Q: Bearing that in mind as well, what can you do as part of the coaching staff to help him through this as well?

"Again, like I said, after every training session, he wants to do shooting, passing, he wants to do everything and work on his game. Obviously, us as coaches, will help him that way."

SOUNDBITE: Colin Pascoe (English) Liverpool assistant manager (on his former club Swansea City and manager Garry Monk):
Q: What sort of job do you think he (Garry Monk) has done so far?

"Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic job that he is doing down at Swansea. He's a great bloke, He was leader on the pitch -- as a captain. He's a leader now. You can see the way the players are playing for Garry. He's a great bloke."

SOUNDBITE: Colin Pascoe (English) Liverpool assistant manager
Q: How big a test then will it be -- considering Middlesborough took you to that penalty shoot-out last time, how much of a test do you think it will be against them?

"Well, hopefully, it won't go that far for all those penalties as well! So, you know, they're a good side Swansea. Like I said, they're no mugs and it will be hard opposition tomorrow night and, you know, it will be tough and the way Swansea are playing -- they're playing very well and had a great result obviously against Leicester in the Premier League -- I am sure they'll come here strong and want to win it."
