Andy Murray saved five match points in a thrilling fightback to claim the Valencia Open on Sunday.

His opponent, Tommy Robredo started well, saving six break points to take the first set.

In the second he came from a break down to force a tiebreaker that could've earned him his first win against Murray since 2007.

But the Scot managed to save both match points to level the game at a set each.

The deciding set also went to a tiebreaker.

The match was the longest final on the ATP World Tour this year that saw both players continue to draw out rally after rally despite both looking exhausted.

Murray saved three more match points before hitting a decisive backhand to win in three hours, 20 minutes.

It's his 31st career title and second in Valencia after winning there in 2009.
