Roger Federer won his sixth Swiss Indoors finals event in Basel on Sunday, beating David Goffin 6-2, 6-2.

The former Swiss Indoors ballboy wrapped up the event in a mere 52 minutes, and managed to break in the first game of the first serve, after Goffin hit a backhand wide.

The first set was also claimed by the current world number two, after Goffin's return went wide.

Despite seventh seed Goffin only claiming two losses in the last 45 matches, he just couldn't get past 33 year old Federer, and went into the loss after an unfortunate backhand into the net.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Roger Federer, Six-time Swiss Indoors champion (on being a Swiss Indoors ball boy as a child):

"Right now in one minute you will see me with the ball boys and ball girls. That's how it all started with me. Took my bike, drove it down here for five minutes, ten minutes away, that's where I lived, and then I came and ball boyed all day long and then went back home again. Got my bike stolen a few times but, anyway, I came here, so I always have this tradition where everybody has pizza with me after the finals. So it's been 11 times maybe by now and I've done it winning or losing, regardless, and it's, it's something very special for me anyway. I hope for the, for them as well."

This is Federer's fifth title in 2014, and it brings him even closer to the end-of-year battle for the top spot in the world rankings against current number one Novak Djokovic.
