  • Intro:

Andy Murray advanced to the final of the Valencia Open on Saturday (25th October) after a straight-sets win over David Ferrer.

    Script:

Another meeting of the two men pushing for a place at the ATP Finals next month - Andy Murray up against David Ferrer.

The two time Grand Slam Champion made the perfect start, breaking Ferrer at the first possible opportunity.

Murray held that break through the set, although had to save a break point when serving for the set, yet he came through that, taking the first 6-4.

Into the second and it was all Murray again. Leading 3-0 with a double break. Ferrer looked unusually inconsistent & a beaten man.

However, the Spaniard fought back and levelled the match up at 3-3 and held serve.

Then Murray found the crucial break and had a serve for the match following three break points serve.

He found the crucial point and knows a win over Tommy Robredo or Jeremy Chardy on Sunday would move him up to fifth in the Race to London.
