  • Intro:

Reaction from Southampton manager Ronald Koeman and his Stoke City counterpart, Mark Hughes, after the Saints' 1-0 Premier League victory.

    Script:

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Ronald Koeman:

"It's strange, football is strange because the first half was much better than last week. I think the first half was one of the best first halves in this season and in the second half sometimes we lost too easy our position. But they didn't create a lot - I think we deserved the win but it was a difficult one. More difficult than last week and maybe more nicer to win like this than last week because the lads showed a great character, great ambition again today and we had a great support of our fans and great win today."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Mark Hughes:

"From our point of view we are a little bit disappointed with the first half - didn't really ask enough questions of Southampton, made it a little bit too easy, showed them a little bit too much respect I would suggest. Which is understandable to a certain extent given their exploits last time out here. So I think that was the case certainly in that first half. Caused us a few problems from set plays, obviously from one of the ones we didn't deal with it has dropped handily for them and they've been able to despatch and score the winning goal."
