SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Cheika, Wallabies coach:

"To have the opportunity to coach the Australian team and have that responsibility on behalf of Australian rugby supporters really is touching for me and it inspires me to want to do the very best that I can all the time and be top class, because that's what that position deserves. You know, I'm going to have to work hard and learn more quickly to be able to do. But I'm certainly up for that challenge."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Cheika, Wallabies coach:

"There's a lot of players that are coming through, there's a lot of players that have been there for a while, there's a lot of players that still need to arrive at their full potential. And that's the job of the coach. The coach is there to make the player arrive at his full potential. And I've got to be clear with the guys who are helping me, I've got to be really clear on how I can get players to arrive at their maximum potential. At the end of the day, there's game plans and there's all that business, but you've got the top players in the country, if you can make them arrive at their maximum potential, then you're going to get a good result, especially with the talent that we have spread throughout the state teams."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Cheika, Wallabies coach:

"It's really important that we are clear with the (identity) so when our supports come to watch us play, that they know exactly what they're going to see every time they come, without a doubt. And we deliver that consistency all the time. I'm going to be working hard with those players to get that outcome."
