As those chasing the final World Tour Finals spots entered finals elsewhere on the continent, pressure was on Andy Murray.

The World No 10 was facing Viktor Troicki in the Vienna semis and he found the break at 4-3.

Murray served out the set, taking it 6-4.

The two-time Grand Slam Champion's chances of reaching the London finals were boosted by Milos Raonic losing early in Moscow - Raonic lies 8th in the race to London - yet Murray has to win the title here in Vienna to move 8th after the weekend.

He found the break in the second and then continued to dominate the Serb as he ran out 6-4, 6-3 winner.

Murray will now face David Ferrer, who faced a scare from Phillip Kohlschreiber.

The German with some sublime shots in the second set took it 6-2, before Ferrer won through 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 to set-up a final with the Scot.

A win for either player puts them into 8th in the rankings & in pole position for the London finals next month,
