Players were greeted by another beautiful day at the Hong Kong Open on Saturday.

Ernie Els went into day three as the overnight leader but he ended up in the bushes on the 9th ending up resulting in a double bogey.

A wonderful eagle on the 13th looked to have rescued his round but he went on to drop shots on the 15th and the 18th to finish on 71 for the day and tied for 6th on 8-under.

Els shares 6th place with Raphael Jacquelin, Jyoti Randhawa and Spain's Javier Colomo, who finished his round with a birdie.

Ahead of that group, tied for third, are Angelo Que, Jbe Kruger and Mark Foster.

They are all 9-under two shots off the lead going into the final round.

Australia's Scott Hend gave himself a fighting chance to win a first European Tour title and goes into the final day just a shot off the lead on 10-under.

But it's Marcus Fraser who leads after returning from a hand injury which has ruled him out since February.

He birdied four of the last six holes for a third round of 65 and goes into Sunday with a one-shot lead as he looks to make a dream comeback from his extended injury.
