    Andy Murray, Viktor Troicki and Philipp Kohlschreiber made it through to semi-finals of the Vienna Open in Austria on Friday (17th October).

    Script:

    Andy Murray defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the Vienna Open on Friday, to maintain his hopes of a place in the ATP World Tour Finals.

    Murray accepted a wild card entry into this week's tournament in order to gain ground on the world's top 8, in a last-ditch bid qualify for the season-ending event in London.

    And the Scot won 6-2, 7-5 to progress to the semi-finals.

    Elsewhere Viktor Troicki of Serbia beat Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil 7-6, 6-7, 6-2 to book his spot in the last eight. And Philipp Kohlschreiber cruised past Benjamin Becker in straight sets.

    The final spot in the semi-final draw was snapped up by another contender for a place at the ATP Tour finals - David Ferrer.

    Ferrer beat the giant Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 7-6, 6-4 to keep his dreams of London well and truly alive.
