The brand new European Champions Cup kicked-off under the lights at Twickenham Stoop on Friday night.

Harlequins faced Castres who had the honour of scoring the first points of the competiton through Rory Kockotts early penalty.

The French side came into this with just three wins from their opening nine matches in the Top 14, Quins took after the break and they never looked back.
Nick Evans kicked four penalties to Kockotts two before the New Zealander created the moment of the match.

His kick pounced on by Danny Care, who just a week after celebrating the birth of his first child was scoring this competition's first try.

Evans went on to kick 20 points in all as Quins won 25-9 to cap a memorable night at the Stoop.
