Intro:
Ernie Els claims early clubhouse lead on day two of the Hong Kong Open on Friday.
Script:
Indian Jyoti Randhawa started day two of the Hong Kong Open at 6-under, holding a one stroke advantage.
However, birthday boy Ernie Els claimed the clubhouse lead with a second round of 65 on Friday.
The 45-year-old, four-time Major winner started two shots behind Randhawa, but swiftly took the lead with five birdies and just a single bogey, while the overnight leader dropped down to 5th with a level par 70.
The South African is at 9-under par at the halfway stage on his tournament debut, two clear of France's Raphaël Jacquelin and Australia's Scott Hend and Cameron Smith.
Jacquelin has had a consistent tournament so far with a first round score of 4-under followed today's 3-under 67.
His playing partner, Thailand's Prom Meesawat, took shot of the day though despite all the big movements on course.
Meesawat was also 3-under with the help of this hole-in-one at the par three, 2nd.
He's 4-under for the tournament.
Australian Wade Ormsby finished at 6-under following a round of 67 to sit in a group of 11, including Randhawa, tied in fifth.
