SOUNDBITE: (English) Jarryd Hayne, NFL Hopeful:

"I am passionate about the challenge that lies ahead, as an athlete but also as a person. It is the hardest decision that I have ever had to make in my life. I am leaving my teammates, my friends and most importantly - my family. But for me to go, as an athlete and a person, I feel that this is the right step to take. It hasn't been a easy decision.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jarryd Hayne, NFL Hopeful:

"I know there is going to be hard times ahead for myself. there are going to be dark days, there are going to be times when I am over there with no friends and no family so I am going to have to find something a bit more than love and passion. I know that I have got that motivation."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jarryd Hayne, NFL Hopeful:

"I am always testing myself, I am always, from one thing to the next, to challenge myself and test myself and this is what it is. Like I said, I had one goal in life and growing up in the Housing Commission and not having the easiest transition...that was to buy my mum a house and I did that. I don't know what I am getting emotional for..I think I am excited more than anything, you know. Speaking to (Krisnan) Inu today...we spoke about how we are two kids from Minto that had a dream, that we both had a dream to play in the NRL together and we have done that and everything else has been a bonus."
