'Perfect Match Play start pleasing'

  • Intro:

Reaction from Graeme McDowell, Paul Casey and George Coetzee after the first day of the World Match Play Championship.

    SOUNDBITE (English) Graeme McDowell:

"Generally happy with my driving accuracy. This is a tight golf course at times, you got to keep it in play (and also happy) with the way I putted. Alexander (Levy) obviously coming off the win last week, I wasn't taking him lightly. Very good young player, very (good) quality. He just didn't make as many putts as I did. Very important to win that first match this week."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Paul Casey:

"It was going along quite nicely but you just never know. I was very happy, I bounced back pretty quickly after losing a couple of holes and took the lead again in the match at the 15th making a birdie there which righted the ship. But, very happy and relieved to get out of there with a victory. It's nice to be up and running."

    SOUNDBITE (English) George Coetzee:

"I think we both played pretty solid. Neither of us played any boogeys. Made birdies when it was needed and I guess we could have both made a couple more putts but in the end I got the one that mattered."
