  • Intro:

Taiwanse pitcher Wei-Yin Chen looks ahead to game three of the American League Championship Series between the Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Royals.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin) Wei-Yin Chen, Baltimore Orioles pitcher (on importance of his upcoming start):

"Well for me, I want to keep to keep it simple. It doesn't really matter to me if we're ahead or behind. For me, my job is to go out and pitch a good game and it doesn't change whether we are 0-2 or 2-0 in the series. So for me, I just want to keep it simple and go out and pitch a good game, that's all."

SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin) Wei-Yin Chen, Baltimore Orioles pitcher (on any adjustments he might make after his previous start versus the Detroit Tigers):

"Well apparently the Detroit Tigers have a lot of great right-handers (hitters), so they hit left-handed pitchers real well. Of course Kansas City have some lefty hitters in the line-up but it doesn't guarantee that I'll have a good performance out there. So I still have to concentrate. And they have great speed, so I hope I can do well. So it helps me to go through the line-up."
