The Sacramento Kings and the Brooklyn Nets held practice sessions on Saturday (11 October) ahead of their pre-season NBA game in Shanghai.

"We are a young team, we have a lot of new faces, we drafted Nik Stauskas, and bought Darren Collison and Ramon Sessions, Ryan Hollins, Omri Casspi. Time, it's not going to happen overnight, we have to work on building chemistry and trust everyday that we are together. And to be honest, a trip like this over to China allow us to spend a lot of time together and hopefully we come together as a team and build the chemistry and trust, that will help us to win this year."

"We had a tough year last year, we only won 28 games, but we made a lot of changes to our roster, bought a lot of very good pieces, talented pieces, and we hope to be a competitive team in the Western Conference this year. The Western Conference is loaded with a lot of great teams, so we have our hands full every night, but if we continue to work hard and play together as a team, we should be a lot more competitive than we were last year."

"I don't see why not, at the pace our coach has got us going, with the practice he's got us doing now, the intensity. you know, very intense practice, I don't see why not. We will be ready. This is a great stepping stone going into the season, coming here and play for us and it's great that we are here, and just have that unity and stuff, that's why we're here and take advantage of it."
