    Australian swimming great Dawn Fraser recalls winning gold in the 100-metre freestyle at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games after overcoming serious injury from a car crash which claimed the life of her mother that same year.
    Script:

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Dawn Fraser, 1964 Australian swimmer:

    "Well you know, 1964 was a beautiful memory for me and I had a pretty hard time coming up to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. I had a car accident, my mother has been killed, I was the driver of the car and without the help of my team members I don't think I would have made it but they were very good they were very good team members. They supported me right through the terrible times I was going through and then when we got here to Tokyo, it was just like another world, it was magnificent, people the Japanese people were very very good to the Australians Olympic team and they made us feel very very welcomed."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Dawn Fraser, 1964 Australian swimmer:

    "It was a sense of, okay, let's forget the world wars that we've had, the Pacific wars. Here we are, it's a new country opening up to the whole world, we're going to have the Olympics games in 1964 and we want show the rest of the world that we can really put on a good show and they certainly did."
