  • Intro:

South Korea's So-yeon Ryu held a two-shot lead on Friday (10 October) after the second round of the LPGA Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

    Script:

Overnight leader Stacy Lewis didn't enjoy day two of the LPGA Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

Despite a birdie on the thirteenth, the world number one fell to five shots back at six-under overall after a second round of 71.

The big mover of the day was Japan's Ayako Uehara, who carded eight birdies for an eight-under 63 to move into a four-way tie for second place at nine-under.

17-year-old Lydia Ko is also two shots off the lead on nine under after a round of 64.

If So-yeon Ryu hits more tee shots like this one on the par-three fifth, the South Korean will build on her lead at the halfway point.

So-yeon Ryu ended the day on eleven under, two shots ahead of the chasing pack heading in to the weekend.
