(On if Sir Bradley Wiggins will attempt to break the hour record)

"There is a plan for him to do it and I'm sure he can do it. He's probably the most accomplished (out of the riders who could do it). When you look at the riders who could go for the Hour Record and feasibly achieve a better distance than Jens Voigt's just achieved then I think Bradley is the most accomplished. It's not only just about putting the power down as you would on the road Riding on the track your speed's oscillating all the time, you've got to ride on the black line and every time you come off the black line you ride a bit further. I think Jens could of ridden a little bit more closely on the black and gone further potentially. That's where Bradley has got that track craft. He's a beautiful track rider and I'm sure he could break the hour record. He's looking to do it next June."

SOUNDBITE (English) Sir Dave Brailsford, General Manager and team principal of Team Sky:
(On the idea of offering cycling's best riders 1 million Euros to compete in all three Grand Tours)

"We haven't sat down and looked at next season yet, we haven't debriefed this season. I like the attitude I must say. I think we'd all agree that seeing the best riders slug it out across the season at key races is what everybody would want to see. If we could bring a bit more of a narrative to it throughout the season rather than just a one-off race then I think I'd be behind that. It's all about getting the best riders riding together in the best and biggest races."
