  • Intro:

Post-game reaction after the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1 in Game 3 of their National League Division Series on Monday (6th October) at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English): Kolten Wong, St. Louis Cardinals Second Baseman:
    (On home run).

"To finally contribute to this team and to finally do something special was exciting for me. And I let a little, a lot of emotion out as you can see and it was awesome. It was an awesome feeling and I was glad I was able to give us the lead."

SOUNDBITE (English): Mike Matheny, St. Louis Cardinals Manager:
    (On Kolten Wong).

"He's taken good at bats against lefties all season. It just seems like there's times when it seems like he's seeing it a little better off of lefthanders. And he's got the ability, as we saw again tonight, every once in a while he's going to pop one. And he's got great power. And when he gets into a good groove, I like him against anybody. That last at bat, too, another one that he squared up very well, it just happened to go to the wrong spot. But he's in a good spot right now. QA good time for it."

SOUNDBITE (English): John Lackey, St. Louis Cardinals Pitcher:
    (On pitching in post season).

"I think there's definitely a different energy, a different adrenaline level. And I think that can, that can take you to special places when you use it the right way. And the atmosphere tonight was great, the fans were unbelievable. And you feel that, you feed off that and if you channel it the right way it can definitely help you out."
