    SOUNDBITE (English) Cadel Evans:

"I look forward to enjoying riding my bike, without having to try to be the number one in the world, but at the same time I am sure I'm going to miss something of the racing, the adrenaline of racing, the chance to win, the chance to work with my team mates and being part of a winning team or winning for the team..."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Cadel Evans:

"I have a family and friends and so on, and a life I've put aside... I've put a lot of things to one side that I've yet to enjoy."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Cadel Evans:

"I continue working with my bike sponsor, BMC, being an ambassador, and I will be on my bike often, most days, probably not every day, but nearly every day. I'll be riding a lot, I'll be visiting quite a few races, and I certainly hope to be able to pass on some of my riding experience, especially to some of the younger Australian riders."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Cadel Evans:

"As you race... I started aged seventeen as a professional and you know, at some point you're going to have to stop, you're just not quite sure when. And sooner or later it arrives and yeah, now my moment has arrived."
