SOUNDBITE (English) Umberto Gandini, AC Milan Director and Vice-President of the European Club Association (On whether the European Club Association will agree to move the 2022 World Cup):
"The position FIFA has is they would move (the 2022 World Cup) if they could and the ideal slot for them would be November/December 2022. There is a European position that says if and when it has to be taken into consideration for the European game it is probably better January/February because we have about 55-65 per cent of the leagues which is facing a European break so the impact on the European game would be minimal but these are just pure speculations. What is more important for us is we have to be (completely) convinced that this is the solution that we have to follow."
SOUNDBITE (English) Umberto Gandini, AC Milan Director and Vice-President of the European Club Association (On if moving the 2022 World Cup could lead to it regularly taking place at different times of the year):
"The only thing we have said for sure is that it is a one-off. It is a one-off decision, if and when it would be just for 2022."
