Stewart claims Straight Rhythm crown

  • Intro:

James Stewart wins the inaugural Red Bull Straight Rhythm.

    Script:

The inaugural Red Bull Straight Rhythm race was held on Saturday at Auto Club Raceway in California, America.

The contest was unlike anything else in motocross racing.

After a demonstration event last year, the first full race had a 32-rider field going head-to-head on a straight, half-mile track filled with jumps, whoops and table tops.

Unlike typical motocross events, the track laid out directly in front of the riders instead of winding through a variety of left and right turns.

All eyes were on the return of racing legend, Travis Pastrana.

But the 30-year-old failed to make it out of the first round.

The final pitted James Stewart against Justin Brayton.

After beating his brother, Malcolm, in the semi-finals, James needed only two runs to beat Brayton to the title.
