Tomas Berdych enjoyed a straight sets victory over Martin Klizan in the China Open semi-finals on Saturday.

The third seed took the opening set 6-1.

The second was a similar story as the 2010 Wimbledon runner-up managed to pull away and win eight of the last nine games to clinch victory in just 81 minutes, much to his delight:

"Yeah exactly. I mean especially the first set was tight and close. I mean, I had some chances and he also had a chance so probably the more experience decided the end of the first set. But I mean, that is just the way it is and I am happy for it and I am really happy the way that I played today."

Berdych now has world number one Novak Djokovic standing in his way of his second ATP World Tour 500 title.
