Andy Murray is into the semi-finals of the China Open after easing past US Open champion Marin Cilic 6-1 6-4.

The British number one was in superb form throughout, breaking the Croat's serve three times in the opening set in Beijing.

A single break in the second set was enough for the 27-year-old to seal an impressive victory in one hour and 38 minutes.

He faces Novak Djokovic in the last four after defeating Grigor Dimitrov 6-2 6-4.

The world number one broke in the fourth and eighth games of the first set.

Bulgarian Dimitrov did put up more of a fight in the second, although he was unable to stop the 27-year-old from stretching his record to 22-0 on the blue hard courts.

Djokovic defeated Murray in four sets at the US Open last month and the Serbian leads the head-to-head 13-8.

Djokovic has his own range of confectionery and he'll be hoping for another sweet success on Saturday.
