Brazilian president visits the Rio Olympic Park

    Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff joined the IOC Coordination Commission on a visit to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Park on Tuesday (September 30th).

    Script:

    The IOC Coordination Commission for the 2016 Olympic Games continued their three-day visit with a tour of the Olympic Park, which will host 16 Olympic sports, including judo, handball and basketball.

    The group, led by Moroccan Nawal el Moutawakel, was joined by a special guest - Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff joining the visit to inspect the progress in construction at the site.

    Rousseff, who is on a presidential campaign running for re-election, greeted workers and toured the park with the IOC group.

    Rio 2016 Chairman, Carlos Arthur Nuzman, and the International Olympic Committee's new Executive Director, Christophe Dubi, were among the visitors.

    The IOC Commission will end their inspection with a news conference at Rio 2016 headquarters.
