Arsenal are preparing to welcome Galatasaray to the Emirates Stadium for their second Champions League fixture of the season.

The Turkish side arrive in London with the Gunners in unfamiliar territory having suffered defeat in their opening Champions League game for the first time under Arsene Wenger.

The 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the first game means Arsenal must win against Galatasaray if they are to challenge for top spot in Group D.

However, they will need to do so without several key players after their squad was hit by further injuries during the North London derby with Tottenham on Saturday.

The Gunners are already without Olivier Giroud and Mathieu Debuchy, who will both be out for the foreseeable future, while Theo Walcott is yet to make his return since rupturing his cruciate ligament last season.

The North London side will also be without influential midfielder Aaron Ramsey, a casualty of the 1-1 draw with Tottenham as well as captain, Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard had just returned from and ankle injury earlier this month, but compounded Arsenal's woes as he picked up a calf knock against Spurs.

A certainty appears to be the return of Alexis Sanchez, and Wenger will be hoping the Chilean can help guide his side to a vital three points.
