  • Intro:

Briton Graham Jarvis wins his third 'Red Bull Sea to Sky' title and restores his reputation as the 'King of Hard Enduro' in Kemer, Turkey on Sunday (28th September).

    Script:

The fifth edition of the 'Red Bull Sea to Sky' hard enduro event took place in Turkey with the usual blend of mud, sweat and pain on show, as a field of more than 200 riders attempted to climb two and a half thousand metres over the toughest of terrains to the top of mount Tahtali.

Briton Jonny Walker was the defending champion, but the man he beat in the closing stages last year, compatriot Graham Jarvis, was back for another tilt at a third title.

Ninth off the start, Jarvis immediately set about working his way to the front of the field.

He clawed his way up to third position by the end of the first treacherous section through a riverbed.

Jarvis then closed the gap and by the time both riders had left the first refuelling point, Jarvis had his nose in front.

Jarvis crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 43 minutes and 20 seconds to win by a minute and 29 seconds.

He also levelled the scores with Walker on the 2014 Hard Enduro win list with two wins apiece.

Wade Young of South Africa finished second and Germany's Andreas Lettenbichler came third.
