SOUNDBITE: (English) Sergio Garcia (Q: How pleased were you with your round today?)
"Yes definitely. The last five holes were obviously amazing and to be able to finish like I did. 17 was so special after knowing that Jamie (donaldson) had already won the point that gave us the Cup and it was just one of those things that you can't describe."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Sergio Garcia (Q: There is no doubting how much the Ryder Cup means to you?)
"yes I mean I love it. Don't get me wrong, I've played, I've been fortunate to play a lot and mostly well. But I've also played badly. And this week, earlier in the week, I didn't play that great. I think that nobody can deny the effort that I always give it (golf) and even more when it comes down to a Ryder Cup. It's my favourite event in the world and I always give it everything even if it doesn't come out the right way."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Sir Alex Ferguson
"absolutely. That was unbelievable. You're seeing elite sportsmen. And I think the most important thing today was the sportsmanship between the fans and the United States players and our own players. I think it was unbelievable."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Sir Alex Ferguson
"To be honest with you, I got more out of it than they did. I've been out of the mainstream of sport for a year and a half, nearly two years. And for me, being brought into the intensity and the spotlight of great sportsmanship, I thought it was fantastic for me."
