San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich says there are no major changes to his team ahead of the NBA season, but he will be focusing on improving Kawhi Leonard's consistency.

"Well, you know we've never made major changes to be honest with you. I mean, we tweak things and change emphasis from time to time - you know, like in the last few years our pace on offence has been significantly different. So we'll do things like that, but there are no major changes really."

"I want to be very careful about, you know, making Kawhi (Leonard) into Larry Bird or Michael Jordan or, you know, Magic Johnson - he's Kawhi Leonard, he's a young kid, I think he's 23-years-old and he had a great season, he's got a great work ethic, he wants to be great, he's made huge strides every year, but I'm going to probably talk to him more about consistency now. He's reached a certain level and if you look at those last three games he played, they were pretty special. But to be in that top echelon of players, you know, in our league, it's a huge responsibility to have to come and do that every night. You know, the (Tim) Duncans and the (Kevin) Durants, you know, the (LeBron) Jameses and all those kinds of guys, they do it night after night after night and it's a huge responsibility and it takes a certain kind of character and that's what I want to see him do now, defensively and offensively to bring it every night."
