Team USA have already been taking advantage of the Scottish sun to practice their putting ahead of the 40th Ryder Cup in Gleneagles, Scotland on Wednesday.

Fans had a rare chance to take a glimpse at their heroes behind the scenes, as the star-studded lineup took to the course to try out different pairings of players ahead of the start of the tournament.

PGA tour veterans Matt Kuchar (koocher) and Jim Furyk led the group at the first tee, with newbies Patrick Reed and teenage prodigy Jordan Spieth looking on, and the group delighted fans by demonstrating their chipping skills on the course.
The other groups included former Ryder Cup winner Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler, and Phil Mickelson, who holds the record for most appearances at the Cup with an impressive total of nine.

And of course the team was led by captain Tom Watson, and a potential revival of his legendary 2012 partnernship with Webb Simpson is still undoubtedly in the hopes of all Team USA followers.

The practice days will continue into Thursday, and the tournament itself will be played from Friday to Sunday.
