Round nine of the FIA World Rallycross Championship took place in Estering, Germany on Sunday.
On a day of brilliant sunshine the final produced the closest ever finish to a race in the sport's 47-year history.
Norway's Petter Solberg began the day with a healthy 28-point advantage over Mattias Ekstrom in the standings, with point-scoring opportunities fast running out as the Championship heads towards its climax.
In a nail-biting final race, Solberg pipped Sweden Rally winner Ekstrom to the line by an unbelievable margin of just five-thousandths of a second.
Robin Larsson completed the podium line-up, finishing third in his Audi A1 Supercar.
The win allows Solberg to extend his points margin to 52 with just three races remaining.
Round 10 of the FIA World Rallycross Championship will take place at the all-new RX track of Franciacorta in Brescia, Italy next weekend (27-28 September).
