South African Paula Reto, shot a career best-7 under - 65 to sit one shot off the lead going into Friday.

The World No 316 setting up one of eight birdies here at the 6th to shoot a 66 and lead by three after round 2.

Behind her, World No 1 Stacy Lewis led overnight. Yet four bogeys on Friday resulted in a disappointing 1-under 71. Lewis sits in third, four off Reto.

Mi-Jung Hur may of been battling a cold, yet the Korean still managed to shoot round in 70. She hit this pin point tee shot at the 13th to card one of 4 birdies and sit in second, three off the lead.

Elsewhere, Sydnee Michaels pulled herself back into contention after carding a 65 in her second round to move into Saturday six off the lead.

The American will be one of those looking to catch Reto as she goes in hunt of her first LPGA title here in Alabama over the weekend.
