"Obviously there is four players playing here and like to see a little bit of form from them. Obviously Lee (Westwood) hasn't played in quite a while so he is looking forward to playing - I know that from watching his quotes, it is great to see him so excited and it gives me confidence that he is going to have a great Ryder Cup. So I am looking for a bit of form and that the guys get back into a competitive environment again, the guys that have been out. Guys like Jamie Donaldson has had a good two week break too, so I am interested in seeing how he does. Having dinner with the players tonight along with the caddies and just sharing some information on what's ahead of them next week. As I say, we are all looking forward and we are all preparing in different ways for next week."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Paul McGinley:

"I'm not looking for huge form. Some guys prepare in different ways and if they show bad form that is not going to be a big tick against them. I'm more interested in how they play their practice rounds next week and settle down because sometimes guys don't play very well when there is something big on the horizon. So I don't want to put too much pressure on them that way - if they show a bit of form, great, if they don't it's not going to be too big a deal for me."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Paul McGinley:

"No I don't mind. I mean guys like Rory and that and Martin Kaymer for example they are really tired. Henrik (Stenson) is tired too, they've had a lot of golf in the summer, a lot of top level, high level golf. So the best thing they need is rest obviously at the moment. Then other guys like Victor (Dubuisson) and Ian Poulter for example - he is over in Lake Nona. They want to prepare on their own and they have proved before that works well for them when they go off to their own little environment and practice on their own nice and quietly. So everybody sees it differently and it is important that I let them know the opportunity that was going to be here in Wales but that I let them make the decision."
