  • Intro:

The Minnesota Vikings reinstated running back Adrian Peterson on Monday (September 15th), two days after he was charged with child abuse.

    Script:

"You know, everybody is entitled to their own opinion and my opinion, at the same time it kind of hurt that it happened to him and his child being a young age, but at the same time growing up, you know my mom did the same thing to me. And just to get her point across to me and the things that she wanted me to do, it got across and I say, just look at me now, where her just coming to me and spanking me or things like that. So she got her point across to me and people you know raise their kids different and my situation growing up, my mom raised me the same way."

"We know what type of guy Adrian (Peterson) is, and all of Adrian's (Peterson) friends and family know what type of guy Adrian (Peterson) is. So the people outside of our team and outside of his family can say what they want, but we know what type of guy he is and what type of person Adrian (Peterson) is."

"You know, like I said I always tell everybody the Adrian (Peterson) that I know is a guy I know that does stuff for charity. I think last week he raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for special needs children, brings kids up here from Texas. He gives them a dream, something to shoot for, takes kids from inner cities, take them to Dicks Sporting Goods and spends thousands of dollars of his own money. So that's the guy I know and I'm glad to have him back on the team."
