Arsenal can cope with injuries - Wenger

Tuesday, September 16 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Arsene Wenger seemed unconcerned with injuries ahead of Arsenal's Champions League opener against Borussia Dortmund at a news conference on Monday (15th September) in Dortmund, Germany.

    Script:

"I don't feel that we are stretched. I believe that we have (Yaya) Sanogo who has, of course, stayed at home but... You mean in attack? Oh, in defence. Of course, the (Matthieu) Debuchy injury puts us in a position a little bit where we do not want more. And hopefully we will have good news after a scan today but we will be back soon. We have (Calum) Chambers who can play in different positions. (Nacho) Monreal can play as centre back and we have as well (Hector) Bellerin who is now I think ready to play."

"No. I don't think that has changed. The main threats will still be the German teams and the Spanish teams as you say because - look at the number of times that Bayern (Munich) have been in the final. There is no obvious reason in the last five years why they should suddenly not there. Dortmund is a regular participant as well and in Spain you have the two big clubs with Barcelona and Real Madrid who will be contenders again."
