Greek Super League teams Atromitos and Panaitolikos played out a 0-0 draw in Athens on Sunday (14 September)

Panaitolikos earned a point from their trip to the capital after a fairly uneventful match at Atromitos.

The home side went into the game having won their opening two fixtures and, although marginally the better side throughout, never really looked like extending their winning streak.

Athanasios Papazoglou had a good chance with a header a quarter of an hour into the match but couldn't find the target.

Javier Umbides summed up his team's overall performance when he sent a wayward shot wide of the target after doing well to create space.

Georgios Fotakis was only cautioned for a late challenge from behind on Nicolas Martinez ten minutes before half time. On another day he may have been sent off.

The second half proved even more tepid than the first, although Stefano Napoleoni should have won the game for Atromitos two minutes from time only to send a header wide from point blank range.

It ended goalless.
