  • Intro:

France is through the Davis Cup final after defeating the Czech Republic in the men's doubles.

    Script:

Defending champions Czech Republic needed a win in the men's doubles to have any hope of reaching the Davis Cup final.

But Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek suffered a rare doubles defeat at the hands of Frenchmen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Richard Gasquet.

The first set went to a tie-breaker, the Czech's prevailing in the end.

The French, spurred on by their home crowd at Roland Garros, took control of the tie after that.

Tsonga and Gasquet claimed the next 2 sets 6-4, 7-6.

In the fourth, at 5-1 up, it was down to Tsonga to serve out the match.

The easy win puts France in the final for the first time since 2010.
