Prosecution admits disappointment with culpable homicide verdict handed down to Oscar Pistorius.

    1. 00:00 SOUNDBITE: (English) Nathi Mncube, National Prosecuting Authority spokesman:

"So we believed in this instance that there was sufficient and credible evidence to secure a conviction on premeditated murder, and the other charges that were put against Mr. Pistorius. But as I said, we also accept that the court will have to analyse and evaluate evidence and come to a conclusion that only the court will be satisfied with. Of course we are disappointed, we are disappointed that we did not get or secure a conviction on premeditated murder, and also that there was an acquittal on the other two charges, but as I said we are satisfied at this point that the court has played its role and you know, the matter has not been concluded yet, we are still waiting for the sentencing to be imposed. And I think at this point in time we will have to wait until then for us to decide whether we are going to take any steps further."
