    Script:

Looking to impress their fans in their first international home friendly at Pristina's City Stadium, Kosovo started brightly when they took on Oman.

The new FIFA member created the better chances in the first half.

After a shot from distance hit the top of the net on 23 minutes, Oman captain and goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi had to dive to tip around a shot just two minutes later.

Oman, who lost 2-nil to the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday, had their first effort on goal in the 46th minute.

The shot drawing a fine save from the Kosovo 'keeper.

In the second period the home side created little in front of goal.

Their best chance came when the referee awarded them a penalty for handball in the 83rd minute.

The spot kick was duly converted two minutes later by Imran Bunjaku after protests by Oman.

And that's how it all ended - a disappointing result for Paul Le Guen's Oman side, who were limited mostly to long-range shots which were off target.
