SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England Twenty20 captain (on how England's victory in the final One-Day International will boost the 20 overs side):

"Yes, it is a huge boost. We've, not competed in the first, three (one day) games that we've played against India. They're a very strong side and they've not let us play, and all credit to them, but for us to stand up yesterday and for Joe (Root) to put in an extremely skilful performance that he did in difficult circumstances, and given the situation as well that he was, he came in and was exceptional, and guys can take a lot of confidence from that and it's great to see him scoring runs the way he does, because when he scores runs we win games."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England Twenty20 captain (on whether the win over India will help to turn around their one day form):

"We've spoken about if for a while, and again it was trying to strike the balance between playing good cricket and improving at the same time with, obviously earmarking the World Cup, and we found (it) a little bit difficult simply because we haven't performed as senior players, including myself, haven't put in justifiable performances to win a series, and that's why we've struggled."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England Twenty20 captain (on England Test and ODI captain Alastair Cook):

"Cooky's been exceptional this Summer. He's been under the pump (pressure) quite a lot and again in challenging times, and English cricket at the moment, he's come out really well and, I think with the transition, as well, the team is going through, it can be difficult at times, especially being the captain. But again, given the experience that he has had, both in playing and captaining career, he's been outstanding dealing with it."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eoin Morgan, England Twenty20 captain (on whether Alastair Cook should captain the side at the World Cup):

"Yes, absolutely. I mean I have every confidence in him. I have a huge amount of respect for him, both as a player and as a captain, and again I look forward to him leading the side out come Sri Lanka and come the World Cup."
