  • Intro:

Scotland's Richie Ramsay holds a two-shot lead over Jamie Donaldson of Wales at the halfway stage of the European Masters in Crans Montana, Switzerland on Thursday (5th September)

    Script:

There was plenty of cloud cover and a little rain over the course for the second round of the European Masters.

Thomas Bjorn could only manage a two-over-par round of 72 and the Dane only just missed the just cut by two shots.

Scotland's Marc Warren carded a seven-under-par 63 to improve to eight-under for the tournament.

Third last year, Frenchman Victor Debuisson is also at eight under following a three-under-par 67.

One shot better off and three behind the leader is a group of three - Gareth Maybin of Northern Ireland, David Lipsky of the United Stats and Ireland's Shane Lowry.

Graeme Storm got to 10-under-par, alongside another American, Brooks Kopeka.

Kopeka shot a second consecutive 65 to get to within two of the lead.

At one stage it looked like Welshman Jamie Donaldson might threaten the course record after pocketing six birdies over his first 10 holes.

He couldn't keep up that pace, but still came home with a six-under-par 64.

Richie Ramsay remains the man to beat over the weekend after a four-under-par 66 was added to Thursday's scorching 62.
