SOUNDBITE (English) MS Dhoni, India captain:

"It was a good wicket to bat on, I though 300 was a par score on the track. I think we gave away quite a few soft wickets in the middle order because... we lost too many and were not really in a position to chase the number of runs... so it was the dismissals that really cost us the game."

SOUNDBITE (English) MS Dhoni, India captain:

"In the kind of conditions we may face in New Zealand and Australia, it will be very different. New Zealand, I don't think we have too many games in New Zealand, and also the grounds are not very big, which means you can't really use your spinners too much after the 40th over and to some extent that might put pressure on our fast bowlers to stand up and take extra responsibility, so it's really important for them to use the coming games really well, but at the same time the next five we play against West Indies, this time of year we may get a fair amount of dew because of which they might find it slightly difficult to execute the yorker or get that reverse swing, so it won't be exactly what we will face later on, in the Australian series or the World Cup."

SOUNDBITE (English) MS Dhoni, India captain:

"Well, first of all, I would take it as a big compliment, becasue the Indian team has never been known as a side that chases very well. I am talking about the history of the game. We have always been a side that bats well, puts runs on the board and when the opposition chases a score, we blame the bowlers, that's something that we do really well, but in the last few years, I feel to some extent we've changed that. We have chased really well, irrespective of where we have played. Sometimes we have not really put up the number of runs, but at the same time we have quite consistently chased, so that's a big positive for us, but at the same time, you know, you can't just rely on the stats, you have to chase every time or bat first every time. You have to see the conditions, how the wicket is and what the conditions, maybe if there is a weather change or anything like that and according to that, you have to adapt yourself."
