Intro:
The Czech Republic were unfortunate to lose a home international friendly to the USA 1-0 on Wednesday (3rd September) as Alejandro Bedoya's first half goal gave Jurgen Klinsmann's side victory.
Script:
The USA took on the Czech Republic on Wednesday night, in their first match since their impressive World Cup.
Three players made their international debuts for the USA in a youthful looking squad and Brad Guzan played the first half as he took over as the No. 1 goalkeeper from Tim Howard, who is taking a year off from the national team.
The visitors went ahead when Mix Diskerud's effort was saved by Petr Cech and the ball ricocheted to Bedoya, who scored couldn't miss.
But the rest of the chances fell the home side's way,
First Lasislav Krejci got in behind the defence and saw his shot saved.
The most glaring Czech miss though came five minutes from time - Radim Reznik unable to convert a double barrelled opportunity.
A disappointing result for the Czechs, despite a promising second-half performance, 1-0 the final score.
