SOUNDBITE: (English) Thomas Bjorn, defending European Masters champion (On trying to equal Seve Ballesteros' three European Masters wins)
"What Seve did here and the memories of him here is so special and if I won it ten times I don't think I would even get close to the memories of what he did. So for me it's just a question of trying to get out there and win a golf tournament and try and play the best I can and that's difficult any time of the year to win tournaments. So just be patient and get out there. I have got a good eye for the golf course, I like this place, I've been successful in the past, but that doesn't count for anything when the tournament starts."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Thomas Bjorn, defending European Masters champion (On his feelings to be in the 2014 European Ryder Cup team)
"Oh unbelievable. You know I felt like going there in 2012, I felt like I had a chance of making the team, didn't play very well in the summer and I probably honestly within myself thought that was the last chance gone to play in a Ryder Cup team. But this time I got such a good start in the qualification and been in the team pretty much all the way and to finally get over the line and get it done and be part of a team that on paper is probably one of the finest teams we've ever had, it's a big privilege and to get the honour to play under that captain (Paul McGinley), who has been a great friend of mine for so many years is going to be a great experience that I'm looking forward to and I'm looking forward to being part of that team."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Thomas Bjorn, defending European Masters champion (On whether Europe are favourites for the Ryder Cup)
"There is so much talk about us being big favourites and yeah we've got guys that have been extremely strong for a long time and they sit high up in the world rankings and dominate that. But when I start looking at their team and look at how they've been playing of late, there's a lot of guys in there that's playing some great golf. So I would be very surprised if it doesn't come down to the last few matches again."
