Wozniacki: 'Aggression' key to win

  • Intro:

Caroline Wozniacki and Sara Errani talk about Wozniacki's straight sets win over the Italian in the US Open quarter-finals.

    Script:

    SOUNDBITE (English) Caroline Wozniacki:

"I always go out there and believe I'm going to play well. I had a game plan in mind, and I just went for my shots. I knew that I had to be aggressive but not too aggressive, kind of find a balance between finding the opening, and then go for my shots whenever I had the balls for it."

SOUNDBITE (English) Sara Errani: (Asked whether she was tired from previous matches.)

"I don't know. Of course a bit of that. Of course she's stronger than me. I have to work more on that. She's very good. She doesn't miss a ball. Every point, long points, made me feel worse physically. That was an important thing. I tried to change my game in the second (set) to be much more aggressive. I tried to go more on the net because on the baseline she was making me die. I tried to be aggressive on the net. I was trying but it's difficult."
