Intro:
Liverpool team-mates Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling discuss Wayne Rooney becoming England captain.
Script:
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jordan Henderson, England midfielder (on the appointment of Wayne Rooney as England captain):
"Yeah I think Wayne was the ideal choice really. He's a natural leader in the dressing room and also on the field as well so I think that was a really good appointment. I don't think it will change the way he is to be honest. He'll keep doing everything like he always does, he gives 100 per cent whether that will be in training or in matches. And also he'll help the younger lads and I'm sure he'll have a lot of respect in the dressing room."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jordan Henderson, England midfielder (on whether there is pressure to perform now when playing for England):
"Obviously with the World Cup being so disappointing I think there might be a little bit more pressure at this moment in time for the England squad but as professionals, as footballers, you like pressure and that's when you perform at your best so we'll relish that and, like I say, we'll look forward to the games."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Raheem Sterling, England forward (on the appointment of Wayne Rooney as England captain):
"He's a player that has been playing at the top level for many, many years, from when he was a teenager until now he's been at the top of his game. I think he was the real candidate to be captain and someone I'm really looking forward to learning off and gain more experience off and try to take some stuff that he's done throughout his career into my own game, really."
