"We still think we can save the series, yeah. I mean, obviously, we've had two disappointing games. We haven't played well enough in both games, we know that, so it's a chance again tomorrow to come back and play better. In two or three different areas of the game, we haven't really played as well as we wanted to."

"I think how we've batted, we've got some good players of spin, you know, in that side, the [Ian] Bells, the [Alistair] Cooks, the [Eoin] Morgans, they're good players of spin. We have to deliver in a one-day game and that to me is partly a skill, partly a mindset, something that obviously goes with the territory of the job of being a one-day international player."

"Well, his record would match a lot of people's record... There's people, there's 'top tens' in the world who are outstanding players in that form of the game and Alastair [Cook] will be working to get, to keep moving his game forward, but I mean, to his credit, his conversion, five hundreds, nineteen fifties, I think, in 80-odd games is pretty high. He's certainly got more [ODI] hundreds than anyone else [in the current England side], and that's part of what we're looking to do, and grow. Now, his strike rate, just under 80, yes you might want to grow it a bit, but each side will be made up of some players who strike fast, some who don't, some are solid and build. We've got to get that balance right..."
