PSV Eindhoven record a 2-0 win at home to Vitesse Arnhem in the Dutch Eredivisie to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new season.

Undefeated PSV welcomed Vitesse to the Philips Stadion on Sunday.

Vitesse are yet to win a Dutch Eredivisie match this term but right winger Bertrand Traore almost put them on the way to banishing that unwanted record.

Memphis Depay has a tattoo on the inside of his lip. When the Dutch World Cup star rattled the crossbar, he almost inked his name onto the scoresheet.

After the interval, Phillip Cocu's men picked up where they'd left off; Luuk de Jong breaking the deadlock after 48 minutes. That was the striker's first league goal in 512 days.

The visitors' substitute Rochdi Achenteh then drove forward unchallenged and the left back struck the outside of the post, with Jeroen Zoet beaten.

In stoppage time, Vitesse centre-back Guram Kashia failed to stop Memphis, who rounded Piet Velthuizen. The ball then fell kindly for Adam Maher, who put PSV's 2-0 win beyond doubt.
