PSG coach Laurent Blanc looks for Champions League improvement - and confirms Zlatan Ibrahimovic is fit for clash with in-form St Etienne.

With only one win from three games, PSG have been nowhere near their best so far this season - and now face tough opponents in the shape of St Etienne at Parc des Princes on Sunday.

Laurent Blanc though should have talismanic forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic back for selection - the PSG coach confirming that the Swede is back in training.

Blanc also commented on the Champions League draw - where PSG have been placed in Group F alongside Barcelona, Ajax and Apoel Nicosia.

SOUNDBITE Laurent Blanc, PSG coach (French) (about the Champions League)

"With the players we had last season we proved we were not far from doing great, but we were missing something. I think that with one more of experience we can reach our goal. But what matters is to make it happen on the ground. It is easier said than done. It is easy to say that we want to go further in the competition, make it to the semi-finals, the final, and even win the tournament. But you need to deliver on the pitch. You also need some luck. As of today, we can say that we want to do better than in the last season, but if we do not deliver, you will hold it against me at the end of the year, if I am still here."

SOUNDBITE Laurent Blanc, PSG coach (French) (about previously injured PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic)

"He is doing well, really well. He resumed collective training Tuesday morning, did not feel any particular pain. He trained normally with the rest of the team Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. He will train with everyone today and as you can imagine he will be playing against St Etienne tomorrow."

    SOUNDBITE Marquinhos, PSG defender (Portuguese)

"I think David Luiz is among the greatest defenders playing today. Along with Thiago Silva, he forms the best defending duo. This is a good thing for me, competition is good for me, I am a young player with many things to learn. I am here to listen to them and get better at their contact. Therefore, it is good to have such great defenders, champions who did many good things for football, for Brazil, our country."
